Palmers Green is an area known to date back to the mid 14th Century, often referred to as Palmers Grene. Originally a notable village for the passing pilgrims, Palmers Green was later developed when the train line was established on what is now Aldermans Hill. Having such a rich history, our vicinity is enriched with an abundance of character properties including what is now the Lakes Estate; comprising of a number of roads where the properties are protected by the local council for their historical and visual merits.
In the more recent years, Palmers Green has seen the substantial advance of historically monumental buildings such as Truro House which is thought to date back to the early 1800’s as well as the Southgate town hall which was built in the 1890’s. These developments have seen many newcomers to the area migrating from the overcrowded and largely modern capital to our quiet village in the city bustling with personality and rich with history.
Benefiting from outstanding local Schools, transport links, notable parks, historic buildings as well as a wealth of boutique cafes’ and stores’, Palmers Green is fast becoming a prime location of increasing popularity and affluence and continues to thrive as a picturesque merit to London.
